Freshly made and delicious. The batter was lovely and light and the mushy peas were great too. Managed to get a seat which was a bonus.
Quite possibly the best fish and chips from a chippy I have ever had! The fish was huge. I ordered a regular cod and chips. And you couldn't even see the chips under the fish.. That's how big it was. I struggled to eat it all. I also ordered a childrens meal for 5.25 I think. It was good value for money, came with sausage, chips and a water. Although I'd say the portion was a little bit big for my 5 year old so maybe they have a gap for maybe a smaller portion for the little ones a little less so it reduces waste. I'd definitely come again when I'm in the area. Definitely beaten others in the area that I have had previously. Also had a small sitting area inside which was ideal as the weather wasn't good.
Friendly and polite service. Lovely fresh scampi and chips, all locally sourced. Good size portions. Thanks!
Absolutely amazing, freshest fish I’ve tasted and best crispy batter. Chips were really good too along with the homemade sauces which are well worth paying for! Highly recommend (possibly the best chippy in Whitby!) thank you
All the fish and chips shops I have ever tried in Whitby have all been great.so many in a small area they need to be. I decided to go to Angel fisheries.down the side street, glad I did went I in ordered haddock chips and pea, think it’s was 13.50, told me they had cod available, haddock would take 10 minutes, decided to wait glad I did, one of the best fish I have ever had, chips and peas great as well, also liked the atmosphere in there.Great stuff!
We stopped by on a whim, wanting fish & chips after not visiting Whitby for some time. Greeted warmly & kind responses when I checked for milk products in the batter ingredients. We ordered one small cod & chips and one large cod & chips, two teas and a can of pop. The fish was beautiful, flaked perfectly when sliced into. Tasty & perfectly fried with no lake of oil when eating. Chips were proper chippy chips, if you know what I mean! Cosy atmosphere, and nicely decorated nautical themed walls with fun pictures. We will be back whenever we go to whitby, loved it here!!!
Really nice and fresh fish and chips. We both got small cod and chips which was plenty big enough. Gravy was lovely. Got it to takeaway but there are a few tables inside to sit in. Whilst not a massive issue when we was there, it is very small inside if you are waiting to take out - and not a lot of standing room
Fast service at this chippy and great staff. You get good sized portions and I got a regular Cod and Chips for 11. It really filled me up and was delicious. I will be coming here again. Overall five stars out of five.
